. . .  Executive Director Larry Sears offers personal mentoring
services to men who are dealing with short-term crises.  There is no fee
for this service and Larry typically meets with each man every two weeks to
help the individual process his issue through the Lord.

Such mentoring typically will continue for anywhere from three to 24
months until the caregiver has resolved his crisis.  Among issues that
Larry has confronted with his caregivers are divorce, marital issues, health
issues, terminal illness, job loss, children’s issues, workplace issues, post-jail
and prison issues, and mid-life crises among others.  Men going through
divorce must attend our divorce workshop before or during
         a mentoring connection.

Larry does not mentor men with substance abuse or violence issues.

Larry’s services are better defined as Christian mentoring and do not fall into
the typical professional therapy range.  Larry has 48 hours of training as a
Stephen Minister in addition to his master’s degree in counseling.  Larry is
not a licensed therapist and does not practice professional therapy.

Larry’s role is to be a listener, help caregivers find their trust in the Lord,
pray with them, and assist caregivers in looking at resources and means
                  for resolving their crises.
